Purposes and activities of Medical Olympicus Association

Medical Olympicus Association was founded on 2010 by professors of medicine. On 2008 a preliminary meeting was held in Thessaloniki, in which distinguished professors from many countries suggested that such an association running international contests, be established.

The administrative board of the Association can be found in the home page.

The Association wishes to promote medical sciences on a prototype and of social interest level and also to promote Hippocratic medicine. All medical specialties, technologies, pharmacologists and medical equipment firms are invited to participate in every meeting which takes place every 2-3 years.

In ancient Greece, there were many public contests in all ancient cities, all devoted to ancient gods. Athletic, cultural and medical contests and presentations were running together. Archaeologists have found in ancient Efessos marble plaques supporting the above.

In the previous International Medical Meetings, scientists from USA, UK, Australia, Germany, India, Japan, Italy, Serbia and other countries participated.

We have the great honor to inform you that the next International Medical Meeting will be under the auspices of His All Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

The Ministry of Health of Greece and the Medical School of the Aristotle’s University of Thessaloniki support this meeting.

In the next 4th International Medical Meeting, besides the traditional contest for the best papers there will be for the first time another contest for answers to three research questions which you may find in the Information booklet.

A group of representatives from 18 foreign countries, which acts as the International Advisors Committee, cooperates in organizing the International Medical Meetings and contests. The next International Medical Meeting will take place on 3-5 November 2017 in Electra Palace Hotel in Thessaloniki. Electra Hotel Palace is at Aristotle’s square in the very center of the city facing the sea.
